By the age of 14 he had discovered the power of music, initially by playing in local rock and blues bands (bass guitar – easy). By the age of 17 he realised that by DJ-ing he could earn the same amount of money and impress the same amount of girls, and yet not have to share either with any band members.

Moving forward a decade or so, he moved back to Gloucester (although we hadn’t mentioned that he’d actually left there in the first place) and became resident DJ at Tracy’s, the first real disco in Gloucestershire. At around the same time, he starting to present his first radio show on Severn Sound, the first Commercial Radio Station in the area. Lee also got very seriously into Soul and R n B music and began playing what was then called Northern Soul, which resulted in many trips to DJ in Wigan, Yate and Manchester

DJ-ing became a very important part of life for our boy and through the late 70’s and 80’s it became a full time job, and he was running around England playing in many of the top clubs. This evolved into Club Management and, when the accountants finally took over the running of clubs in the early 90’s, and money became more important than entertainment, Lee left the businesses and, with his wife Pat, formed their own very successful Corporate Events company in Brighton

It was during this time that Spain became a haven for the occasional quick holiday, in-between mammoth corporate events and conferences, and eventually became a contender for a potentially new home. But before the move in 2001, Lee undertook a true adventure and for three weeks became a deck hand on a friend’s yacht and sailed from Brighton to Marbella.

His move to Spain has been the proverbial success story, and life on the Costa del Sol has suited Lee’s lifestyle. He continues to work in an environment he loves - and the sun, sea and sangria will be home until the next move………..
